German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action confirms patronage and opening of MiningForum 2024

We are happy and proud to announce that Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary at BMWK, will open MiningForum 2024 and welcome the international mining community, together with other high-level players from industry, research, and politics. BMWK, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, has once again taken on patronage of the event on June 6th and 7th, 2024, in Berlin.

There can be no separation of economics and climate action, both must be considered and managed in a joint effort. And the 17th international MiningForum in Berlin clearly expresses its devotion to this belief with this year's topic: “For a Sustainable Future”. The Ministry’s engagement highlights the importance of an integrated approach to a more sustainable mining sector for the upcoming challenges in the transition of our economy.

With numerous panels and discussions about the various ways to extract those minerals critical for the transition of the energy and mobility sector, MiningForum 2024 is the perfect opportunity for driving the necessary public discourse including the mining sector, science, and politics. Together we can find the best solutions for a more sustainable future.

Don’t miss the opportunity to get in touch with experts, executives, and decision-makers at the 17th International MiningForum.

The full agenda will be available closer to the event. There’s still time for interested speakers to submit their papers until 31. January.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Berlin in June!
